Wigan Athletic defender Roger Espinoza has admitted that he is overwhelmed by the team's FA Cup triumph.

The Latics caused a major upset on Saturday as they beat Manchester City 1-0 in the final at Wembley Stadium thanks to Ben Watson's injury-time header.

"It's overwhelming, the tournament as a whole is like that," Espinoza told the club's official website.

"It's unbelievable to win and it's an unbelievable journey because we've come from the real roots of football to the national stadium.

"Everybody played out of their skins and everyone deserved to win this cup for the effort they put in during the game."

Wigan continue their battle for Premier League survival on Tuesday when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
