Mark Noble praises "fantastic" West Ham United performance

Mark Noble says that West Ham United were "fantastic" against Liverpool and worthy of their 3-1 victory.

Mark Noble has insisted that West Ham United's victory over Liverpool shows just what the club are capable of.

The Hammers, who came into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Hull City, prevailed 3-1 at Upton Park this evening courtesy of goals from Winston Reid, Diafra Sakho and Morgan Amalfitano.

"We have worked on the shape of the team and in the first half we were fantastic," Noble told Sky Sports News. "Liverpool were always going to give it a real go, but every one of us was bang on and we deserved the win."

"We were good on Monday against Hull and deserved a little more and we should have beaten Spurs in the first game of the season, but the performance out there has shown what we are capable of. We now need to make this place a fortress."

Next up for eighth-placed West Ham is a trip to face Manchester United.
