West Bromwich Albion are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Hannover left-back Sebastien Pocognoli.

Hannover defender Sebastien Pocognoli will reportedly arrive in England over the weekend to complete a move to West Bromwich Albion.

Pocognoli helped Hannover finish in 10th position in the Bundesliga during the last campaign, but the former Belgian Under-21 international could be about to leave the German side after just one season.

According to the Express & Star, the 26-year-old will undergo a medical at The Hawthorns on Saturday before finalising the switch that could cost the Baggies in the region of £1.5m.

Pocognoli, who made 28 appearances last year, has previously played for Genk, AZ Alkmaar and Standard Liege.
