West Bromwich Albion head coach Steve Clarke says that he is "confident" Saido Berahino will sign a new deal within the next 24 hours.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Steve Clarke has claimed that he expects youngster Saido Berahino to sign a new contract within the next 24 hours.

The 20-year-old has been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea due to an impressive start to the season in which he has 12 goals for his club and at England Under-21 level.

However, Clarke believes that Berahino will snub interest from elsewhere to commit his future to the Baggies.

"I'm confident Saido Berahino will sign a new contract within the next 24 hours," Clarke said in a press conference.

Berahino's new contract is expected to increase his current wage of £850 per week.
