West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis: 'No problems with James Chester'

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis says that he has "no problems" with James Chester, despite the defender questioning his future at the club.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has insisted that he has "no problems" with James Chester, despite the defender suggesting that he may leave the club in search of first-team football.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Baggies from Hull City for £8m in the summer, has started just one Premier League game in 12 this season.

Chester is concerned that he could lose his place in the Wales squad at Euro 2016 if he is not playing regularly.

Despite the defender's comments, Pulis has insisted that the player is a "very important" member of the squad.

"I've spoken with him and he's absolutely fine," The Mirror quotes Pulis as saying. "James wants to play and I understand that, but he's a very important member of the squad.

"There are no problems and we are looking forward to this weekend's game against Arsenal."

West Brom are currently 13th in the league table.
