Report: West Bromwich Albion to offer Tim Sherwood head coach job

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly planning to offer the head coach's job to axed Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood following talks.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly considering offering former Totttenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood the head coach's role at The Hawthorns.

The 45-year-old is said to have spoken to the Baggies' hierarchy after being placed on a six-man shortlist following the departure of Pepe Mel at the end of last season.

According to the Express & Star, West Brom are expected to open contract negotiations with Sherwood after he impressed chairman Jeremy Peace during talks, which included a formal interview last Friday.

Reports have claimed that the Premier League club, who beat relegation last season, are hoping to table a contract offer in the next 24 hours.

Sherwood became available after he was sacked by Tottenham last month following an interim stint at White Hart Lane.
