Tony Pulis calls for 30-second reviews

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis calls for 30-second reviews to be introduced after the wrong player was sent off during his team's defeat to Manchester City.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has expressed his belief that a review system should be introduced in an attempt to eradicate game-changing decisions.

In the second minute of their game with Manchester City, Gareth McAuley was wrongly sent off after Craig Dawson had committed a professional foul, while Pulis was also unhappy that a free kick wasn't given in the build-up to City's second goal in a game that the champions eventually won 3-0.

The 57-year-old told BT Sport: "The feeling this year is that some of the decisions have been very disappointing regarding game-changing decisions.

"We obviously don't have a say in what the referees do and don't do but it affects us, but if you are given an opportunity where the referee can have that 30-second call back, that eradicates everything that we are going to be talk about now.

"Whether it's for the first decision where he has sent off the wrong player or in the lead up to the second goal where Saido Berahino has been kicked in the head, we could have a couple of calls there, sort it all out and we wouldn't be talking about it."

Defeat for Pulis was just his fourth in 14 games since taking over at The Hawthorns.
