Chris Brunt backs Tony Pulis to improve record at The Hawthorns

Chris Brunt believes that the arrival of Tony Pulis will see West Bromwich Albion improve their record at The Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion captain Chris Brunt has claimed that Tony Pulis can make The Hawthorns one of the most difficult places to visit in the Premier League.

The Baggies only managed to record three home victories in the whole of 2014, but Brunt believes that the arrival of Pulis will help the team make life tough for sides this season as they look to steer clear of the relegation zone.

"When he took over at Crystal Palace that became a horrible place to go to, it was a difficult place to come away with anything," the Northern Irishman is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"The place was rocking from the word go to the very end and if he can help us get the Hawthorns like that, that will go a long way to him being successful.

"Our home form has not been good for a couple of years now. It's disappointing and it is something we have never really been able to put our finger on to see why it has happened. That will be something the manager will be looking at."

Pulis started his reign with a 7-0 victory over Gateshead in the FA Cup last Saturday.
