A report claims that Watford defender Lloyd Doyley is close to signing a new long-term contract with the club.

Watford defender Lloyd Doyley is reportedly close to signing a new long-term contract with the Championship outfit.

The 30-year-old, who made 38 appearances last season, was part of the side that lost in the playoff final to Crystal Palace last month.

Doyley's current deal expires at the end of this month, but according to Sky Sports News, terms have already been agreed on a fresh contract.

The centre-back has made over 400 appearances for the club.
