Nigel Pearson "not bothered" about transfer business

Watford boss Nigel Pearson says that he would not be "that bothered" if his team did not make any further January signings.

Watford boss Nigel Pearson has insisted that he would be content if the Hornets did not make any more new signings between now and the end of the January transfer window.

The Premier League club recently completed the signing of Ignacio Pussetto from Udinese, and the attacker made his debut against Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday's goalless draw.

A number of players continue to be linked with potential moves to Vicarage Road, but Pearson has said that he is happy with the state of his squad and "not that bothered about doing business".

"I'm not that bothered about doing business. We have players capable of delivering. In all honesty, I think we have a nice blend and I think we have people who are committed," Pearson told reporters.

Watford, who also recently completed a deal for Brazilian teenager Joao Pedro, are now unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, recording three wins in the process.

Next up for the Hornets in the Premier League is a trip to Aston Villa on Tuesday before visiting Tranmere Rovers on Thursday for a spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
