Ipswich Town's recent unbeatable run comes to an end with a 2-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road.

Watford have ended Ipswich Town's recent unbeaten run with a 2-1 win at Vicarage Road.

Paul Jewell's side started brightly and were rewarded for their efforts in the 18th minute as Jay Emmanuel-Thomas converted Andy Drury's cross from close range.

Ipswich appeared to be continuing their recent form and could have extended their lead on a number of occasions before half time, with Emmanuel-Thomas remaining a threat.

However, Watford looked much better after the break and started to take control of the match.

Sean Murray grabbed the inevitable equaliser in the 71st minute as he took advantage of some lazy defending to finish past Alex McCarthy.

The goal rocked Ipswich and Watford continued the pressure in the closing stages, eventually finding a breakthrough.

Troy Deeney secured the points for Watford as he struck home from just inside the area with eight minutes of normal time remaining.
