Manuel Preciado named Villarreal coach

Former Sporting Gijon coach Manuel Preciado has been named as the new manager of Villarreal.
The club, who were recently relegated from La Liga, have been searching for a new boss following the departure of Miguel Angel Lotina.
Preciado, 54, was sacked as coach of Gijon last season after six years in charge.
Villarreal were last demoted to the Segunda Division in 1999.
