Marcelino Garcia Toral pleased with three points

Villarreal boss Marcelino Garcia Toral praises his side following their 1-0 win over Elche on Monday.

Villarreal boss Marcelino Garcia Toral believes that his side deserved to pick up all three points against Elche on Monday evening.

The Yellow Submarine overcame their fellow newly-promoted outfit in La Liga courtesy of a late strike from Ikechukwu Uche.

"Uche's goal in the last minute was justice for the scoreline," Marcelino told reporters at a press conference.

"It was very important to return to the good dynamic away from home. The Getafe defeat was a setback, but it did not bother me.

"I think that against Elche we recovered our competitiveness, we went for the game, created chances and defensively recovered."

Villarreal currently sit fourth in La Liga.
