Report: Jay Simpson attracting a host of interest

A number of English clubs are reportedly interested in signing former Arsenal striker Jay Simpson.

A number of English clubs are reportedly interested in signing former Arsenal striker Jay Simpson.

The 25-year-old, who has also previously represented West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Thai club Buriram United this summer.

"We can confirm that talks are ongoing about Jay, he enjoyed his time in the Far East but is now looking forward to being back in British football," Leon Callander of Straight Ace Management, which represents the forward, told Sky Sports News.

"At 25, Jay has some of his best years in football ahead of him and given the interest in him it is clear a number of clubs are of the same opinion."

Simpson is believed to have interest from both the Championship and Premier League.
