Good morning everyone! It was a busy day of transfer gossip on Wednesday, so can we expect much more of the same today? Let's hope so! Focus will soon be turning to the start of the new football season, but that doesn't mean that clubs will stop working hard behind the scenes to sign new recruits. Don't forget, the transfer window doesn't close until September 2.

Let's kickstart the morning with some updates to bring you from Manchester United. We all know that Angel di Maria has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Well, according to manager Laurent Blanc, that deal could be completed imminently. After his side's pre-season 2-0 win over the Red Devils in the United States overnight, Blanc told reporters: "Man United and PSG are two big clubs and negotiations can be difficult but we are close to the end."

Di Maria cost United a British record fee of £59.7m when they bought him from Real Madrid last summer, but it seems as though the Premier League club could take a significant loss as rumours are that PSG have tabled a £28.5m bid.

We haven't had a David de Gea update in a little while have we? Well, I won't disappoint because we have one now (kind of). After Manchester United's pre-season defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, manager Louis van Gaal told reporters: "We have a situation that is not favourable for David de Gea, but neither for us and neither for the club that maybe he wants to go [to]."

Hmm, it seems as though the Spaniard's future is still up in the air. When asked if he expects the situation to be resolved before the start of the season next week, Van Gaal replied: "We'll wait and see."
