Good morning everyone! Yesterday, Raheem Sterling finally sealed his big-money move to Manchester City and became the most expensive English player ever in the process. A whopping £49m was reportedly paid by the former Premier League champions to Liverpool for the 20-year-old. Surely though, that will not be the last time that huge sums of money are thrown around? We still have more than six weeks left until the transfer window slams shut, so plenty of time for business.

Speaking of huge sums, numerous newspaper reports have claimed that Angel di Maria could be on his way out of Manchester United to join Paris Saint-Germain for £50m. The Argentine struggled to make an impact during his first season at Old Trafford, and it is believed that the Red Devils are open to a swap deal involving forward Edinson Cavani. Apparently United have picked out the Uruguayan as a replacement for Robin van Persie.

It seems that a day doesn't go by without a story about David de Gea's future. Recent reports have been pleasant reading for Manchester United fans as there have been indications that the goalkeeper will remain at Old Trafford for the upcoming season. Today, Marca have published a story claiming that Real Madrid have promised to pay De Gea a €5m (£3.5m) sign-on fee if he moves to the Bernabeu next summer.

It looks as if Sunderland have suffered a blow in their bid to bolster their defensive options this summer. According to reports, the Black Cats have pulled out of a deal to sign Belgian international Nicolas Lombaerts from Zenit St Petersburg because the centre-back failed a medical on Wearside.

He may have signed for Fenerbahce, but it has been reported that Manchester United are still negotiating a fee for Robin van Persie with the Turkish club. Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford caught the eye for Middlesbrough last season as he scored 19 goals while on loan at the Championship side. The youngster has been linked with a host of sides this summer while his future at Stamford Bridge remains unclear. According to a report, Sheffield Wednesday want Bamford to join them for another loan stint in the second tier.

Norwich City have had a fairly uneventful transfer window so far, only bringing in Youssouf Mulumbu and Graham Dorrans from West Bromwich Albion. However, manager Alex Neil has stated that he is looking to sign more players before the Premier League season kicks off in less than a month. More here.

DONE DEAL! Time to go north of the border for a moment, where Rangers continue to add new faces to their squad ahead of the new season. Former Manchester United trainee Jordan Thompson has joined the Scottish Championship side after penning a two-year contract at Ibrox.

Nacho Monreal became Arsenal's first-choice left-back in the second half of last season and it is believed that he will remain a Gunner this season, despite speculation linking him with a move away.
