Harry Redknapp confirmed in his press conference this week that he wants to bring in a couple of players before Monday's deadline, and his Queens Park Rangers side are being linked for Former Italy international Marco Borriello.

Juan Cuadrado's impending move from Fiorentina to Chelsea is drawing ever nearer, with the Colombian international insisting that Florence will always be in his heart.

DONE DEAL! Blackpool have announced that they have signed 24-year-old defender Tom Aldred on loan from Accrington Stanley on an emergency loan. He could make his debut again Brighton this afternoon.

In Italy, Palermo have announced that they have brought in 21-year-old defender and Paraguay international Danilo Ortiz.

Scunthorpe United have been adding to their squad. The League One club have brought in Kevin van Veen from Dutch side Oss on a three-and-a-half year deal.

Rumours that Gareth Bale could move to Manchester United in the summer continue to circulate, but Real Madrid's assistant coach Paul Clement insists that the world's most expensive player will not be leaving the Bernabeu.

Steve Bruce's side were on the wrong side of a 3-0 scoreline in their match with Newcastle this afternoon, but it looks like the Tigers will be adding to their squad, as the manager has confirmed that the club is in talks with Aaron Lennon and Dame N'Doye.

I'm Kristian Johnson and I'll be with you until 7pm this evening! Let's start with the news that Sheffield United have tied down both Terry Kennedy and Jamie Murphy to new deals.

Veteran striker Lee Hughes has found himself a new club. The 38-year-old has joined up with Kidderminster Harriers 17 years after he left the club.

Manchester United's Darren Fletcher has been linked with West Ham United throughout the transfer window, but the move could be in jeopardy as reports suggest that he is yet to agree personal terms with the Hammers.

It seems as though the writing is on the wall for Andre Schurrle at Chelsea. The World Cup winner is reportedly close to finalising a £22.5m move to Wolfsburg.

Some news from the lower leagues now, and Eastleigh's Yemi Odubade has joined Conference side Woking on loan until April 25.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has confirmed that Robert Huth is close to joining Leicester City on loan for the rest of the season.

Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti has admitted that rumours linking him with a move to European champions Real Madrid are "flattering".

Philipp Hosiner's proposed move from Rennes to FC Koln has collapsed after the German side discovered an abdominal injury during the forward's medical.

That's all from me for today, but before I go I'll point you in the direction of Sports Mole's comprehensive Transfer Talk Update, which includes all of the day's stories.
