Group G's bottom side Moldova are holding unbeaten Sweden to a goalless draw at half time in their Euro 2016 qualifier in Chisinau.

It was the hosts who started the brighter as Gheorghe Boghiu tested Andreas Isaksson inside the opening five minutes from a set piece, after Andreas Granqvist had been booked for a clumsy challenge on Alexandru Dedov.

Sweden took a while to find their rhythm, but should have been ahead themselves midway though the half when Kiese Thelin fired wide when well placed.

Just 60 seconds later Erkan Zengin cut in from the left wing and unleashed a powerful shot that was beaten away by Ilie Cebanu.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first contribution of note came shortly before the break when his shot found its way to Thelin, who could only divert the ball narrowly wide of goal.
