A report claims that Swansea City defender Daniel Alfei could leave the Welsh outfit on loan.

Swansea City defender Daniel Alfei has reportedly emerged as a loan target for a number of Football League clubs.

The 21-year-old, who is highly regarded at the Welsh outfit, signed a new long-term contract with the Premier League club in the summer.

However, he is not believed to be in Michael Laudrup's first-team plans this season, with a number of Football League clubs preparing loan moves for the defender, according to Sky Sports News.

The Wales Under-21 international spent a period on loan with Wrexham last season, but it is understood that Swansea want the right-back to play Championship football.
