Michael Laudrup targets Jonathan de Guzman signing

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup admits that he would like Jonathan De Guzman to sign for the club on a permanent basis.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has revealed that midfielder Jonathan de Guzman would like to remain at the Liberty Stadium.

De Guzman is currently on a season-long long deal from Villarreal, and Laudrup has admitted that he would like to see the Dutch international stay at the Premier League club.

The 48-year-old told reporters: "A lot of clubs are thinking about the end of the season; promotion, relegation etc so they have a lot of important things to think about.

"Jonathan is playing very well and he's scoring goals. But he is happy here and I know he wants to stay here."

The 25-year-old has scored eight goals for Swansea this season.
