At least seven clubs are reported to be considering an approach for Swansea City midfielder Jose Canas.

Swansea City midfielder Jose Canas has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for a number of European clubs.

It was suggested earlier this month that Elche had registered an interest in the 27-year-old, but the Spanish side could face a battle to secure his services.

According to talkSPORT, Celta Vigo, Getafe and Malaga are all exploring the possibility of bringing Canas back to La Liga before the end of the summer transfer window.

However, Serie A trio Atalanta, Chievo and Sassuolo have also been mentioned as potential buyers should Swansea welcome an approach for their midfielder.

Canas moved to Swansea on a free transfer last summer following his release by Real Betis.
