DeAndre Yedlin: 'Sunderland have to beat Watford'

Sunderland defender DeAndre Yedlin insists that his side have to take all three points from their Premier League clash against Watford at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland defender DeAndre Yedlin has said that his side have to beat Watford in their Premier League clash at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats dropped back into the relegation zone following their defeat at the hands of Arsenal last week, ending their run of back-to-back victories.

However, Yedlin is confident that his side can take all three points from their match with the Hornets by being more clinical at both ends of the pitch.

He told the club's official website: "We had a couple of defensive lapses but overall I think we were in the game and I think it was a pretty positive performance. I think it's important that we take the positives as well as the negatives and learn from them, and we will head into the Watford game in a positive mindset.

"It's a very big game; it's a game that we have got to win. They're a team that is very beatable so if we can snatch three points from them we'll be in good shape.

"If we perform how we did against Arsenal but put our chances away and cut out the little defensive lapses, I think we'll grab all three points."

Sunderland face Watford in their match later today.
