Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio admits that he can't wait to appear at the Stadium of Light for the first time as the club's boss.

Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio believes that his team have a perfect opportunity to secure their first Premier League win at home in three months against Everton on Saturday.

The Black Cats have not won at the Stadium of Light since January 12, but after his side defeated Newcastle United 3-0 last weekend, Di Canio has revealed that he is confident of earning a result against Everton.

The 44-year-old told reporters: "I am a manager and a man. I can't wait. Not just for me, but for my staff, and especially the players.

"After a long gap without a win, there is an opportunity after a very good game to have, as usual, fantastic support from the fans."

Sunderland are currently sitting in 15th position in the Premier League table, three points ahead of the relegation zone.
