Jose Mourinho: 'Bojan Krkic almost gave me a heart attack'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admits that Stoke City striker Bojan Krkic almost gave him a heart attack while he was manager at Inter Milan.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that Bojan Krkic is "the only player that almost killed [him]" as his side prepares to travel to Stoke City next week.

The Blues are looking to cement their position at the top of the Premier League table, but face a tough trip to play Mark Hughes's men at the Britannia, where youngster Bojan now plies his trade as a forward.

"Bojan is the only player that almost killed me with a heart attack because, in the last minute of Barcelona vs. Inter in the semi-final of the Champions League, he scored an amazing goal," said Mourinho, according to ESPN.

"But offside! And I looked to the other side and the linesman was saying 'offside'. He's the only one. Part of the joke... A very dangerous player, adapting well to the Premier League which is never easy for a striker. But every dangerous player."

Chelsea lead the way in the domestic standings on 39 points, three clear of title-chasing Manchester City who occupy second place.
