Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam believes that the club should be targeting a top-10 finish in the Premier League next season.
The Potters struggled to 13th position last season, but after the arrival of new boss Mark Hughes, Adam is excited by the challenge of improving on last season's performance.
The 27-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It's a fresh start for everybody and we look forward to it.
"Tony Pulis has done a good job at this club and he deserves the utmost respect and credit. If it wasn't for him this club wouldn't be in the Premier League.
"So that's the way it goes and we look forward to a new fresh challenge and the top 10 should be a realistic opportunity for us."
The Scottish international netted three times in 27 appearances for Stoke last season.
