Stoke City and Cardiff City play out a goalless first half at the Britannia Stadium.

The first half of the Premier League match between Stoke City and Cardiff City has ended goalless.

Ryan Shawcross had a good chance to give the Potters the lead in the 19th minute when he rose highest to a Charlie Adam cross, but failed to get it on target.

Oussama Assaidi latched onto Marko Arnautovic's pass just before the half-hour mark but failed to get the better of David Marshall, who then kept out an effort from Peter Crouch.

The Potters thought that they had broken the deadlock on the stroke of half time when Geoff Cameron turned in Crouch's flick-on from close range, but it was ruled out for an offside infringement.
