New Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is reportedly hoping to sign Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Naughton.

Aston Villa are said to be plotting a bid for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Naughton.

The 23-year-old made 32 Premier League appearances on loan at Norwich City last season under the guidance of new Villa boss Paul Lambert.

Lambert has been entrusted with a substantial transfer budget at Villa Park and the Scot has identified Naughton as one of his main summer targets, according to the Daily Mail.

Naughton moved to White Hart Lane from Sheffield United in 2009 along with Kyle Walker for a combined transfer fee of £8m.
