Although Roberto Soldado has not yet completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur, a £26m transfer from Valencia is believed to be close to going through.
Soldado, who moved to the Mestalla from Getafe in 2010, has scored 81 goals in 141 games for the Spanish outfit, including 30 in 46 appearances last season.
Here, Sports Mole selects five players Valencia could attempt to sign in order to fill the void left by the Spanish striker.
Javier Hernandez (Manchester United)
There are not too many players in European football who are as dangerous in the box as Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican, who joined the Premier League champions from Guadalajara in 2010, has scored 50 goals in 117 games for United, which is even more extraordinary when taking into account the number of times he has appeared from the bench.
It is unlikely that United would be prepared to let the 25-year-old depart, but Valencia could offer the forward something that new Red Devils manager David Moyes cannot – certainty of first-team football next season.
It isn't as if his bit-part role has harmed his international performances, as he has scored a stunning 35 times in 53 appearances for his country, but it remains to be seen whether his head is turned by the Spanish outfit.

Leandro Damiao (Internacional)
It is difficult to know whether the Brazilian striker is coming or going at the moment with the number of clubs that he has been linked with this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli have both been credited with interest in the 24-year-old, but thus far no official bid has been submitted by either club.
Step forward Valencia, who would certainly be interested in signing a player who has scored 83 goals in 149 games for Internacional and a player who is expected to play a key role for his national team in the World Cup next summer.
It isn't as if Valencia have money to burn, but Damiao is valued in the region of £20m, which would give them some change from the Soldado sale.
Spain appears to be a popular choice for Brazilians at the moment, which could hand Valencia a bargaining tool when push comes to shove.

Darren Bent (Aston Villa)
Darren Bent? THE Darren Bent? Indeed. The striker who is so incredibly out of favour at Aston Villa that he has been given the number 39 shirt for the new season.
He may be unpopular with Villa manager Paul Lambert, but the fact of the matter is that the England international is a goalscorer. Pure and simple. In total, he has registered 179 goals in 426 appearances during his career in England.
He has also found the back of the net four times for England, which considering he has made just 13 appearances is a very respectable total.
It is unlikely that Villa would ask for big money for a player who is clearly unwanted, therefore it could prove to be an astute piece of business from Valencia, who could replace goalscorer with goalscorer.
It would also not take too much convincing for Bent to move to Spain this summer, not to mention doing his chances of a World Cup call the world of good.

Helder Postiga (Real Zaragoza)
Although not a long-term option, it is difficult to overlook how well Postiga performed for a struggling Real Zaragoza side last season.
Despite the fact that the club were relegated, the Portuguese international managed to find the back of the net on 14 occasions in the league - a very respectable total indeed.
It would not take too much money to secure the 30-year-old this summer, who would surely be keen to remain in La Liga as he eyes a place in the Portugal squad for next summer's World Cup.
It didn't quite happen for Postiga during a recent spell with Sporting Lisbon, but he has proved that he can score goals in La Liga.

Demba Ba (Chelsea)
With Wayne Rooney expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge late in August and Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku both ahead of him in the pecking order, it is difficult to see Ba securing regular football in the new season.
He managed just two league goals in 14 appearances after joining the Blues from Newcastle United last January, where he had previously scored 29 league goals in two seasons.
It has been suggested that Ba could be prepared to depart England this summer if first-team assurances are not gained, with La Liga understood to be his favoured destination rather than a move to another Premier League club.
It is also unlikely that the 28-year-old would command a big transfer fee with Chelsea's willingness to sell - another aspect that could prove very attractive to the powers-that-be at the Spanish outfit.
