Clint Dempsey's agent Lyle Yorks insists that Tottenham Hotspur are not trying to force the forward out of the club.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey is content with life at White Hart Lane despite transfer speculation, according to his agent Lyle Yorks.

The 30-year-old has been amid reports that the North London outfit are open to offloading a number of players this summer.

Following the reports, fellow Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion have been touted as a possible destination for the USA international.

"I have been in constant contact with Tottenham and they are happy with Clint and he's happy with the club," the London Evening Standard quotes Yorks as saying.

"There have been no meetings and no discussions. Not with Tottenham or with any other teams about Clint. Things could change obviously if a team came in with a big offer, but they are not actively trying to move Dempsey."

The former Fulham forward netted 12 goals for Spurs last season.
