Gareth Bale will reportedly sit out of Tottenham Hotspur's friendly against Monaco on Saturday due to fears of risking injury ahead of a potential move to Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale will reportedly sit out of this Saturday's friendly against Monaco in order to prevent any danger to his Real Madrid move.

The Wales international is believed to be keen on moving to the Bernabeu, with reports claiming that Madrid are willing to offer Spurs £105m plus one of their players for the prolific winger.

Bale is unwilling to feature in this weekend's friendly due to fears of sustaining a serious injury and putting his Madrid move in doubt, according to the London Evening Standard.

The 24-year-old has made just one appearance during pre-season so far and has sat out the remaining fixtures with a muscle strain.
