Jamie Redknapp: Harry Kane is an "exceptional talent"

Jamie Redknapp insists that Harry Kane is an "exceptional talent" and feels that he has to start for Tottenham Hotspur in their upcoming Premier League matches.

Jamie Redknapp has expressed his belief that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is an "exceptional talent" following his performance in his side's 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old was left out of the starting lineup for the clash at Villa Park as Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado started for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

However, Kane arrived late in the match from the bench to turn the game around, scoring the winning goal to fire Spurs to victory.

"Kane is an exceptional talent who works hard on his game and there is absolutely no way Pochettino can leave him out of this team now," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.

"If you compare him to Adebayor and Soldado there is no comparison. When he came on he made a big difference, giving Tottenham a bit of zip and desire, and you could see how much he wanted to play and how much he cared.

"I'd be amazed if he doesn't start next week."

Spurs are eighth in the Premier League following their win over Villa.
