Michael Dawson: 'Tottenham Hotspur must stick together'

Michael Dawson calls on his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to "stick together" following their recent 4-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has called on his teammates to "stick together" following their recent 4-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Spurs were comfortably beaten at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as their hopes of Champions League qualification were dealt a serious blow.

"It hurts us as players and I know it hurts the fans, but we have to stick together," Dawson told the club's official website.

"We keep talking about it, unfortunately, but we have to keep showing huge character when we've lost in the way we have."

Tottenham return to action on Thursday night when they entertain Benfica for the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
