Michael Dawson: 'Tottenham Hotspur must bounce back'

Michael Dawson calls on his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to get back to winning ways when they travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has urged his teammates to get back to winning ways when they face Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.

Spurs suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat at home to West Ham United in their last league fixture before the international break.

Dawson wants his side to erase the memories of that loss when they travel to Villa Park on Sunday.

"When you are winning, everything takes care of itself," the defender told the club's official website. "But you have to earn the right to win. You can't just walk out there and do it.

"We will now look to go out and win against Villa. A loss like West Ham is always in the back of your mind but you have to move on. In football, you get the chance to do it."

Dawson recently signed a three-year contract extension with Tottenham.
