Michael Dawson: 'Tottenham Hotspur full of confidence'

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson says that his side are positive ahead of their Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has said that his side are "full of confidence" ahead of their Premier League meeting with Liverpool on Sunday.

The Lilywhites suffered a 5-0 defeat when the teams met earlier this season, but Dawson believes that their victory over Southampton last weekend has renewed optimism at White Hart Lane.

"Liverpool are in a rich vein of form and they are flying at home," he told the club's official website.

"But we go there full of confidence on the back of the Southampton game and a great performance in the second half.

"Anfield is a fantastic place to play, full of tradition. I've good memories there. I made my debut at Anfield and been involved in some great matches, and picked up some good results as well."

Spurs are currently sixth in the Premier League table.
