Benoit Assou-Ekotto back for Championship playoff final

Benoit Assou-Ekotto is fit to return for Queens Park Rangers in Saturday's Championship playoff final against Derby County.

Queens Park Rangers have been given a boost ahead of the Championship playoff final with the news that Benoit Assou-Ekotto is fit to play.

The left-back, who is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, missed both legs of the semi-final against Wigan Athletic but is now ready to return.

QPR take on Derby at Wembley on Saturday looking to achieve instant promotion back to the Premier League.

Assou-Ekotto moved to Loftus Road on deadline day in September, going on to make 31 appearances in the league for QPR as they finished fourth.
