Team News: Harry Kane among 10 Tottenham Hotspur changes for League Cup tie

Harry Kane is one of 10 Tottenham players recalled for their Capital One Cup third-round tie with Brighton & Hove Albion at White Hart Lane.

Harry Kane has been recalled in one of 10 changes made by Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino for their League Cup tie with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The England Under-21 striker has yet to start a Premier League game this season, but has scored six goals in five cup games and is give another chance to impress this evening at White Hart Lane.

Kyle Naughton returns for the hosts at right-back after recovering from an ankle injury, while Federico Fazio is available again after suspension. Alongside them in defence, Jan Vertonghen is the only survivor from the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Michel Vorm, Benjamin Stambouli, Roberto Soldado and Aaron Lennon, who captains the Lilywhites, also make the XI, with Erik Lamela and Paulinho among those in reserve.

Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia makes six changes, with David Stockdale and Gordon Greer among those rested.

There is a debut for teenage goalkeeper Christian Walton, while Aaron Hughes, Adam Chicksen, Paddy McCourt, Danny Holla and Kazenga LuaLua are also given run-outs for the Championship outfit.
