Spain midfielder Javi Martinez has admitted that it is a "dream" to play against Brazil at the Maracana in the final of the Confederations Cup.

La Roja knocked out Italy on penalties on Thursday night to set up the clash with Brazil, which is a match that Martinez has dreamed about since he was young.

"A final at the Maracana against Brazil, that was a dream of mine as a kid - now it has come true," the Bayern Munich man is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

The final takes place on Sunday night.
