Southend United defender Bilel Mohsni reveals that his trial period at Nottingham Forest has been ended by Alex McLeish's departure from the Championship club.

Southend United defender Bilel Mohsni has confirmed that Alex McLeish's departure from Nottingham Forest has left his own future undecided.

The 25-year-old is still contracted to Southend, but is actively looking for another club having refused to play for the League Two outfit.

He spent a period on loan at Ipswich Town earlier in the season, while he has also been on trial at West Ham United.

He told Sky Sports News on Tuesday that he "will return home" before waiting to see whether the new Forest manager recalls him to the club to continue his trial.

Mohsni was a key player for Southend last season as they made it into the League Two playoffs.
