Sheffield Wednesday and Watford are level at half time at Hillsborough, with Chris Lines seeing his penalty saved by Manuel Almunia.

Sheffield Wednesday and Watford head in at half time with the score at 1-1, thanks to a penalty save from Manuel Almunia.

Wednesday took the lead after just three minutes when Michail Antonio ran through the defence and slid the ball under Almunia to make it 1-0.

Fernando Forestieri grabbed an equaliser for the away side on 18 minutes, taking Wednesday by surprise.

The game began to turn into a real end-to-end battle as the home side almost regained their lead after Chris Kirkland launched into box, almost finding Jay Bothroyd.

Bothroyd was then brought down in the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Chris Lines stepped up and saw his penalty well saved by Almunia.

The sides went in at half time with the score at 1-1.
