Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno will reportedly miss out on a place in the 23-man Spain squad for the World Cup this summer.

Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno is expected to miss out on a place in the Spain squad for the World Cup this summer.

The left-back was named in Vicente del Bosque's initial 30-man squad last week following an impressive season with the Europa League winners.

However, the 21-year-old has been included in Sevilla's 19-man squad for their two friendlies in Asia over the next week.

His inclusion for the matches against Indonesia and Malaysia strongly suggest that the youngster has already been informed that he will not make the final cut for his country.

Moreno is expected to be the subject of a host of transfer interest this summer.
