Unai Emery "happy" with point

Sevilla boss Unai Emery believes that his side are "progressing" after four games unbeaten in the league.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has revealed that he was "happy" to gain a point in his side's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.

The result means that Sevilla are now unbeaten in their last four league games and have moved into seventh position in the La Liga table after a slow start.

"I am happy because the team is progressing," Emery told reporters at a press conference.

"I do not think that the draw takes away from our self-esteem. It must serve us to be able to overcome similar situations in the future. The most important thing is that the team is competing.

"For three consecutive wins beforehand, the feeling is that the team has failed here, but we have encountered a great opponent in front of us.

"The work-rate of the players has been high, but it was not enough for the virtues of Athletic."

Sevilla have won four of their eight league games at the Estadio Ramon this season.
