74 minSevilla 3-2 Mallorca (Cicinho)

74 minAnother half-chance for Sevilla as Perotti finds Negredo in the box, but Fontas clears the danger. Meanwhile, they continue to force corner after corner.

73 minYou can just sense the frustration in the crowd at the moment. Has Sevilla's chance gone? I just cannot see the match remaining at this score at the end of the 90 minutes.

71 minChance! Another fine chance for the home side as Navas advances into the box, but Aouate makes another fine save to clear the danger. I cannot remember the last time I have seen such a one-sided game.

69 minChance! Rare attack from Mallorca as Arizmendi finds himself outside the box and his effort just moves wide of the post. It could have been three shots three goals there!

67 minAttack after attack from Sevilla. It's constant, but Mallorca remain strong and clear the danger on each occasion. Surely the third goal is coming?

65 minThe chances continue to fall for the home side as Navas has two efforts inside a minute, but he fires them both over the crossbar. Mallorca just cannot get out of their own half.

48 minDecent possession for the home side at the beginning of the second period with Maduro and Fazio combining well in the middle of the park. However, Mallorca are so well drilled and clear the danger for a throw-in.

46 minSevilla kick us off in the second period. Let's hope the second half is as good as the first!

9.32pmHere we go then. Both sets of players join us on the pitch for the second period. The next goal will be all-important in this tie. Who will blink first? Stay with us for the remaining 45 minutes of action.

9.30pmAs it stands, Mallorca will move level on points with fourth-placed Real Madrid in the table. But you just get the feeling that the scoring is not finished in this match.

9.26pmThe first-half scoring was not complete, however, as Mallorca regained the lead after 30 minutes when Hemed latched onto a Dos Santos pass before converting from close range. What a half.

9.22pmMallorca took the lead with their first attempt on goal when the left-back Bigas chipped over Palop. However, Sevilla were level three minutes later when Negredo converted from close range.

9.18pmSo there we have it. Two goals in four minutes have handed Mallorca an unlikely 2-1 lead at the interval. The home side have remarkably had 70& of the ball, but they trail at the break.

HALF-TIMESevilla 1-2 Mallorca

45 minHalf-chance on the stroke of the interval as Navas finds Negredo in the box, but his effort is straight at the goalkeeper. Mallorca are praying for the whistle at the moment.

43 minSevilla continue to force the issue in the latter stages of the opening half. However, the Mallorca defence are standing strong in the face of a number of crosses. Little under two minutes of the half remaining.

29 minGOAL! Sevilla 1-1 Mallorca (Negredo)

29 minIt just isn't really falling for Sevilla at the moment. Negredo has another effort from inside the box, but it moves over the crossbar. The goal appears to have angered the home side.

27 minTalk about against the run of play! That is their first shot on goal and it comes from the left-back. The home supporters are not happy here.

26 minOh my word! Mallorca score with their first shot as Bigas chips it over Palop before tapping home from close range.

26 minGOAL! Sevilla 0-1 Mallorca (Bigas)

25 minChance! The chances continue to fall for the home side as Negredo thumps a header towards goal, but Aouate palms it to safety. It is simply all one-way traffic at the moment.

3 minDecent possession from the home side in the early stages. Navas drives into the penalty area, but Ximo is on hand to clear the danger. High tempo start here.

2 minTottenham Hotspur supporters will have a keen eye on Mallorca's Giovani Dos Santos this evening. The Mexican never quite mad it in England, but he is a wonderful talent.

1 minHere we go then. Mallorca get us underway. Both of these teams have almost identical records in La Liga this season. Who will move into the upper regions of the table this evening?

8.29pmHandshakes? Check. Flags exchanged? Check. Let's get the action underway on this mild evening in Sevilla. We have had some fantastic matches in La Liga this weekend, let's hope that this match follows suit.

8.27pmHere we go then. Both sets of players join us on the pitch ahead of kickoff. You just get the feeling that it is going to be one of those matches where the opening goal is all-important.

8.24pmJust a reminder that victory for either side tonight would move them into fifth and onto the same points as fourth-placed Real Madrid. My pre-match prediction is 2-1 to Sevilla. I have done alright with my predictions lately!

8.21pmIn terms of the head-to-head record between the two sides. Sevilla have won two, drawn two and lost just one of the last five encounters. However, Mallorca's singular win came at the home of Sevilla in November 2010.

8.18pmHowever, they have lost their last two league matches against Getafe and Granada and will be keen to return to winning ways this evening.

8.15pmMallorca, meanwhile, opened their season with a 2-1 win over Espanyol before drawing with Malaga. Victory followed in their next game against Real Sociedad and they remained unbeaten with a draw against Osasuna and victory over Valencia.

8.12pmA 1-0 win over Real Madrid was then followed by a 2-0 away win over Deportivo La Coruna, but they have lost their last two league matches against Barcelona and Celta Vigo.

8.09pmLet's take a look at how both sides have fared this season, starting with Sevilla. They started their league season with a home win over Getafe, before securing back-to-back draws against Granada and Rayo Vallecano.
