Charlie Mulgrew warns that Scotland must not get carried away despite Friday's crucial win against the Republic of Ireland.

Scotland midfielder Charlie Mulgrew has said that his side are "not getting carried away" despite beating the Republic of Ireland in their crucial Euro 2016 qualifier at Hampden Park on Friday.

Shaun Maloney scored the only goal of the game to take Scotland level on points with Ireland in Group D.

Mulgrew told reporters: "We haven't done it yet. We have had a few good results but we haven't really done anything.

"We wanted to kick on after the last two games and to get the three points against Republic of Ireland gives us a lot of confidence.

"We are moving forward and there is a lot of belief and a lot of quality in the squad but we are not getting carried away. There is a long, long way to go."

Next up for Scotland is a friendly against England on Tuesday.
