Gordon Greer: 'Scotland focused on performance against Gibraltar'

Scotland defender Gordon Greer insists that the team will be concentrating on the performance rather than the score when they play Gibraltar in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

Gordon Greer has insisted that Scotland will be focused on their performance against Gibraltar rather than trying to run up the score in their Euro 2016 qualifier this weekend.

The British Overseas Territory is the latest nation to be admitted to UEFA, but they are yet to score in their first qualifying campaign.

The Brighton & Hove Albion defender told BBC Sport: "We're just hoping that we go out and put a good performance in. If we do that, I'm sure we'll get the result we want. Ultimately, it's all about just winning the game.

"The pressure on us now is to go and break them down and score the goals because other teams have done that. It'd be great in front of the home fans to score a lot of goals and be comfortable.

"We've got an analyst who works with Brighton who's from Gibraltar so he's been filling us in. He's always talking about Gibraltar and he's got a few friends who play with the team as well."

Gibraltar have conceded 21 goals in their first four qualifiers.
