Schalke boss Huub Stevens brings Jefferson Farfan back into his starting XI for today's Bundesliga clash with Freiburg.

Schalke manager Huub Stevens has made two changes to his side for the visit of Freiburg thanks to a series of injuries and suspensions.

United States international Jermaine Jones begins a four-match ban for his sending-off against Stuttgart and is replaced in midfield by Christoph Moritz.

Ciprian Marica also drops out in favour of winger Jefferson Farfan, who is fit after missing last week's defeat to Stuttgart.

Frieburg have opted to pick two forwards in an attacking lineup by partnering Jan Rosenthal and Max Kruse in an advanced position.

Schalke: Hildebrand, Uchida, Matip, Howedes, Fuchs, Neustader, Moritz, Farfan, Holtby, Draxler, Huntelaar

Freiburg: Baumann, Sorg, Flum, Hedenstad, Diagne, Schuster, Makiadi, Schmid, Caligiuri, Kruse, Rosenthal
