San Jose Earthquakes come from behind to see off Los Angeles Galaxy

Los Angeles Galaxy fall to defeat as they lose 3-1 to rivals San Jose Earthquakes.

The San Jose Earthquakes have claimed derby success with a 3-1 over Los Angeles Galaxy.

The home side had the first chance of the game after eight minutes, but Jordan Stewart wasted it by blasting over the bar from a few yards out.

However, it was the away side who took the lead through Juninho, who found the bottom corner with a vicious shot from outside the box.

San Jose looked stunned, but they found an equaliser 10 minutes later as Chris Wondolowski produced a smart finish after a slick passing move.

After the break, the hosts took the lead as Clarence Goodson flicked a neat header into the corner, while Cordell Cato confirmed victory with a thumping shot 20 minutes later.

The Galaxy couldn't respond, and slumped to their first defeat in four games.
