Preview: Sampdoria vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole previews Inter Milan's trip to Sampdoria in Serie A.

Sampdoria host Inter Milan on Sunday evening hoping to take advantage of their opponents' exploits in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Inter were involved in an exhausting match with Tottenham Hotspur, and Sampdoria manager Delio Rossi will know that their opponents may not be at 100%.

Rossi saw his side lose 3-1 at Cagliari last weekend so he could make alterations to his side, with Gianni Murani possibly replacing Enzo Maresca in midfield.

Fifth-placed Inter put up a tremendous fight in Europe on Thursday night, only to bow out on away goals after extra time.

Boss Andrea Stramaccioni would have been elated with his side's performance, but it remains to be seen whether he will freshen his side up on Sunday evening.

Midfielder Ricardo Alvarez could be in contention to start after coming off the bench to score on Thursday.
