Radja Nainggolan believes that his performances for Roma have been good enough to make him a part of Belgium's World Cup squad.

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has insisted that he has done enough to be included in the Belgium squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

The 25-year-old has become a key part of Roma's starting lineup since he made the loan switch to the Italian capital from Cagliari in January.

He's only been capped five times by Belgium, but he believes that his performances of late should have captured the attention of head coach Marc Wilmots.

"I am here because Roma had the best project. It was a rejuvenated squad that just felt right at the time. I've been playing well for several years, and I think I deserve a place with the national team," he told Radio Liegi.

"Here I have a better chance of being noticed. A player must be assessed for what he does on the field, and then it's up to the coach."

It is expected that Nainggolan will sign a four-year contract with Roma at the end of the season.
