Michael Bradley: 'Roma are title contenders'

Roma midfielder Michael Bradley believes that his side deserve to be considered genuine title contenders in Serie A, after winning nine in a row.

Roma midfielder Michael Bradley has declared that his side deserve to be considered title contenders in Serie A, but has warned against complacency after a terrific start to the campaign.

The Giallorossi have won their first nine successive matches to sit five points clear at the top of Serie A, with Frenchman Rudi Garcia making a seamless transition to life in the Eternal City.

Bradley believes that Garcia's attention to detail is the key to Roma's strong opening, while insisting that he wants to fight for a starting spot at the Olimpico despite strong competition for places.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "Last season didn't go the way we wanted it to, but I believe in this team and this club. I want to be a part of this project.

"After this streak of results we are in the running for the Scudetto, but we'll have to see where we are at the end of the season.

"[Garcia] pays attention to every little detail, that is what has really impressed me. When you have a Coach like this, it is always positive."

The 26-year-old scored his first goal of the season last weekend, helping Roma emerge victorious at Udinese despite playing most of the second half with 10 men.
