Late Jordan Allen strike sinks Toronto FC

Jordan Allen's last-minute strike helps Real Salt Lake beat Toronto FC to move off the bottom of the Western Conference.

Jordan Allen's late goal proved enough as Real Salt Lake moved off the foot of the Western Conference with a victory over Toronto FC.

Luke Mulholland put the Utah outfit in front just before half time when he latched on to Javier Morales's pass before slotting past Joe Bendik.

However, the Preston-born forward's exuberance got the better of him as he was booked for excessive celebration.

Jamison Olave went close to doubling Real's lead when his header from the heart of the area missed the target.

Toronto almost got back on level terms with 19 minutes remaining when Nick Hagglund forced a save out of Jeff Attinella.

The Canadians did manage to draw level the game with two minutes left through Jackson, but Allen struck back for the hosts to seal victory 60 seconds later.
